As i have got some messages, with questions on how to update my minecraft modpacks on Curseforge, like Pokehaan Craft, Farming Valley etc, i decided to make a small guide.
1: Go to the “My Modpacks” section on Curseforge app.
2: Hover the mouse over the modpack and click on the small “arrow” next to “Play”. This should update the pack automatic.
3: Else it will open this: Now click on the small arrow at the “Select Modpack Version”
4: You should now see all the different versions to the modpack. Now click on the newest one which is the top one, and click “Continue”.
5: The launcher will now begin downloading the newst version, once done you can click play.
In this video, i show you how to download and install “Farming Valley” and “Farming Valley – Lite”. I already have made one a while back, but that was when the pack was on the Twitch Launcher. Now that it is on CurseForge Launcher, i decided to make a new one. Hopefully it helps some of you
CurseForge Launcher download link: https://curseforge.overwolf.com/ Java 64 bit: https://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp (Select “Windows Offline (64-bit)” if using Windows.
Just a small update to the pack, that fixes some bugs with the checklist most (The book with task).
Updated Checklist-1.10.2-1.0.4.jar
This update removes the SimpleAchivement mod (The one that gives you the book with challenges) BUT it adds Checklist mod. Don’t worry, all your completed task, will transfer over automatic. Checklist mod just let me do a lot of other things, like adding new challenges to it, without the user having to use a command to see them. It also adds new music disc, with new music from Stardew Valley.
Added Checklist-1.10.2-1.0.2
Removed SimpleAchievements-MC1.9.4-1.2.2-28
Updated the “Kehaan Farming Valley Resourcepack”
Updated AppleSkin-mc1.10.2-1.0.14.jar
Just a small update. This update makes it possible to buy the Sprinkler earlier, but for a much higher price.
“Meepstress” suggested that the pack will when pointing the mouse over a item, that would be sold in the shipment box. It would say that i can be sold. He even made a nice script for it 😀 However i decided to do it a little different then his script, so the pack will only mention it can be sold, and not for what price. I want the price to be discovered by the player. However a big thanks to Meepstress for the suggesting ( https://github.com/MistressMeeple)
I also made it so you can buy the guide book, if you by a mistake gift/sells it to a NPC.
Want to host Farming Valley Lite on your own server? Then this guide may be able to help you.
1: Go to: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/farming-valley-lite/files
2: Click on the newest version.
3: Now go down to “Additional Files”, and download the server file.
You can also use a host like NodeCraft, which have 1 click install of the pack, if you do not want to host the pack yourself.
The pack is now out on Curse/Twitch Launcher and ATLauncher.
Farming Valley – Lite (MC 1.10.2) – by Kehaan
This pack is a “Lite” version of my modpack “Farming Valley”. This version of the pack is a lot easier to run for older/not strong pc’s. However the main features from the main pack is still in. This Lite version, was under different test able to run with as little as 1 GB ram, and having atleast 100-150 MORE FPS than the main pack.
If you have a newer/stronger PC, then install “Farming Valley”, and i would recommend trying that pack out first to see how your pc run it. And if there is issues, then run this version of the pack instead.
If you don’t know Farming Valley then the description from the main pack fits this one as well:
This modpack is centered around the genre of games that Stardew Valley and Harvest Moon are in.
Basically, instead of the typical grind in MC, you here have to build and maintain a farm/small town in order to be able to progress. Your first goal will be to spawn in a Goddess, who will explain how to progress in the pack. Here you will slowly build up a small town, have huge farms, sell your crops, gain money and progress further. There are 4 seasons, each of which have special crops to buy, plant, and then harvest. A huge part of this pack is selling your goods, at local NPCs, to get money, that you can then use to progress either further with your village, or even buy parts from other mods to progress in those. In this pack, there are many parts, you can’t craft, instead you have to buy them with your hard earned money. This pack also features some small twists along the way. You will also find an achievement book, that gives you some long-term goals.
WARNING: THIS MODPACK DOESN’T SUPPORT REMOVING MODS
