How To Update A Modpack on CurseForge App

As i have got some messages, with questions on how to update my minecraft modpacks on Curseforge, like Pokehaan Craft, Farming Valley etc, i decided to make a small guide.

1: Go to the “My Modpacks” section on Curseforge app.

2: Hover the mouse over the modpack and click on the small “arrow” next to “Play”. This should update the pack automatic.

3: Else it will open this: Now click on the small arrow at the “Select Modpack Version”

4: You should now see all the different versions to the modpack. Now click on the newest one which is the top one, and click “Continue”.

5: The launcher will now begin downloading the newst version, once done you can click play.

Update fastcraft-1.25
– Compatibility fixes towards Optifine – at the cost of disabling some features. Performance may be better with an Optifine version that doesn’t include Shadersmod or without Optifine.

Update Carpenter’s Blocks v3.3.8.2 – MC 1.7.10
– Fix server crash when safe are broken by other player during usage [vagola]

Update AppleCore-mc1.7.10-3.1.1
 Removed FertilizationEvent entirely
– This event and the ASM required for it has been a constant source of hard-to-debug errors and it isn’t worth the effort to maintain
– As far as I’m aware this event has never been used by any mod that depends on AppleCore, so upgrading shouldn’t affect any current AppleCore users
– Added zh_TW translation (thanks hugoalh)
– Added some features to the API related to block-based foods: – Added IEdibleBlock with methods to control whether or not Block-based foods can be eaten at max hunger (like ItemFood.alwaysEdible)
– AppleCore implements IEdibleBlock on BlockCake at runtime, so you can make it always edible by doing `((IEdibleBlock) Blocks.cake).setEdibleAtMaxHunger(true)`
– Added IAppleCoreRegistry (AppleCoreAPI.registry) to register Block <-> Item relationships for Block-based foods that don’t use an ItemBlock (e.g. cake)
– Add Polish translation (#112, thanks @Greg-21)

Fire In The Pipe 2: Beta 5 Released

A update to Fire In The Pipe 2 have just been released.

Another week, another update with nerfs. This update adds a mod that lets me write books. The first one is a book that shows you all the ores spawning levels. You get this book by completing the first quest in a new quest line.
Do note this update removes ALL enchantment tables in the world, to solve a conflict. Just hit “continue” when world loading, or “/fml confirm” if on a server.

Ore Spawning Levels In Fire In The Pipe 2

GregTech disables all ore generation, and replaces them with its own ore generation patterns. There are two types of ore generation. Small Ores, and Mix Veins.
Small ores generate as single blocks. These ores are intended to get started and acquire initial resources. When broken they drop either a impure pile of ore dust, Crushed Ore or sometimes a gem. They may also drop dust or dirty dust of the stone they were found in. You can’t use Silk touch on small ores, but you can use fortune.
Mix Veins comes in four parts. Primary, Secondary, Inbetween and Sporadic. The upper 2-4 levels of a vein will almost all be primary ore. The lower 2-4 levels will almost be secondary ore, and the middle 2-4 levels will be mostly inbetween ore.

Sporadic ore appears randomly interspersed in the vein. In total a vein will equal portions of primary and secondary ore, and a little less of inbetween ores, and much less of sporadic ore.
Ore vein generations works like this. First at the center of every 3×3 chunk, a random ore mix is chosen. If that ore mix cannot generate in its current dimension, the generator will try again. If the chosen ore vein is allowed, a random height will be chosen within the mix of veins Min/Max height values. In some areas you will find none of the mix veins, but there will be small ores.
